Super MicroCast™
Weather Central's A.D.O.N.I.S.
(Animated Dynamic Overlaid Non-Hydrostatic Improved Sensitivity) model was developed by Weather Central's
modeling research team to bridge the gap between current weather phenomenon and forecast weather patterns.
With over 70 years of experience in forecast modeling technique combined, the members of the team are
continually using advances in the field of numerical weather predictions, as well as advances in computer
technologies, to bring the most advanced forecast model, designed for television broadcast, to our clients.
Utilizing patents held by Weather Central, our processes are able to put out some of the highest resolution
forecast products for locations around the globe.

3D Data Products
Weather Central’s data feeds include a full spectrum of
global current condition information compiled from a number of sources, including:
• NWS (National Weather Service)
• WMO (World Meteorological Organization)
• MADIS (Meteorological Assimilation Data Ingest System)
• NSSL (National Severe Storms Laboratory)
• EPA (Environmental Protection Agency)
Current Conditions
14,762 stations have been identified in North America and
the Caribbean that deliver current weather observations including temperature, wind speed and direction, dew
point, humidity, “feels like” temperature, precipitation amount, pressure, visibility and sky condition.
Weather Central also offers data for current active advisories, watches, warnings, UV index, sunset and sunrise
times and daily almanac data.
Forecast data
Weather Central has several data sets that provide forecast
data ranging from 1 to 7 days in the future for the US and some Canadian cities.
Climate data
This data set provides climate data for the United States
such as daily average high and low temperature, record high and low temperature and the year record temperatures
occurred. Climate data is available for the current or previous day.
Airport Delays
This data set provides current delay information for the United
States, including the reason for the delay.
Lifestyle Data
The set includes buoy data, sea surface temperatures, forecasted
UV index, snow depth, vegetation cover and soil moisture data.
Satellite
Weather Central delivers data from four satellites that
cover the entire globe (GOES-EAST, GOES-WEST, METEOSAT, and MTSAT). This gives our clients 30 minute, 4km
resolution worldwide, with the exception of South America. South American coverage consists of 4km-resolution
satellite sector delivered every 3 hours. Weather Central also provides a 1km-resolution visible satellite
product every 15 minutes and a 4km-resolution water vapor satellite every 30 minutes.
Radar
Weather Central’s Premium subscription to the National
Weather Service Level II Data Feed gives Weather Central real-time access to radar data from all of the
National Weather Service sites that are setup to deliver real time feeds (over 150). Thus, the radar data on
Weather Central radar maps is much more up to date than traditional Level 3 radar that most online providers
use.
Weather Central is a National Weather Service Tier 1 Radar Vendor. This gives Weather Central a direct
conduit into the National Weather Service Radar Operations Center for reliable data distribution.
Weather Central also has licensing agreements with Environment Canada to access the 31 radar sites in Canada.
